The Righteous and the Wicked begins with a bang! Devil's Gold is an uptempo growling introduction to our lively and mischievous attitude when we play. Counter that with the thoughtful last track about loss: The Waiter and the Doctor. Between those two extremes is a smorgasbord of varying moods. Brown Bear house is a bluegrassy reminiscence of the house where we all first met, in a zenful band called Cadre', we all played different instruments than we do now. Woke up this morning is a playful bluesy flirtation from a poor boy to a girl who won't give his love a chance. The Daily Grind is an 8 minute workers' rights tune, built out of frustration with a mad circus breakdown (with Ed on trumpet). Make Me Wholly sounds like a dusty dramatic duel in the desert (feat. Matt Beach on wah trombone). Cue the howling wind! We also have a little bit of a New Orleans strut with the song Queen of Hearts. Plus many more anthems, odes, and a traditional Drunken Sailor!!!
